GH Spoilers: Where Is Selina Wu (Lydia Look) That She Missed The Deception Takeover?

It’s not shocking to General Hospital fans that certain people leave the show when their plots demand, but there is one character in particular who played a crucial role in keeping Deception alive and she hasn’t been seen during the takeover angle.

We anticipated that Selina Wu (Lydia Look), who was expelled from the Savoy, would reappear at some point when Tracy Quatermaine (Jane Elliot) assumed control of Deception, but she never showed up.

It’s a curious omission we think may have been done to simplify the storyline, and it feels off since she would’ve have something to say about the stocks being frozen and losing money on the deal.

Saved Deception before

Selina stepped in to save Deception with Home and Heart when Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) had her breakdown, and then was hesitant to allow Sasha back given her history but gave her a chance.

It’s for that reason we find it hard to understand why she didn’t pop in to mediate things between Tracy and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).

If for nothing else, it would’ve been awesome seeing her and Tracy butt heads as they squared off, and that could’ve added so many more layers to that storyline.

It would’ve put Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) in potential danger for betraying the company, and even got Lucy in trouble for Selina for running such a sloppy operation that could’ve forced her own takeover to make sure things were run correctly.

It’s a missed opportunity, and one ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers have grown used to over the last year or so as little things seem to be glossed over or missed.

It’s understandable given how much content they have to create, but this would’ve eliminated a bunch of filler and raised the stakes for everyone involved.

She’s out of town?

Selina may have left it to someone else to handle and they let her down, or she may have been out of town. These are just a few of the common explanations for why she didn’t intervene.

They might have chosen to end her life, but that seems illogical considering that we anticipate a further development between her and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Although a lot of potential was lost, there might be some amazing material if the writers put their best effort into it.
