Farmer Wants A Wife 2023: Claire And Andrew’S Wedding Is Quickly Approaching!

It’s clear Farmer Andrew and Claire have found something special together. The couple, who found each other on the 2023 season of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia were so sure of their strong connection, they left the show early.

In the months that have followed, the pair kept fans up to date on life after the show, with Claire settling into farm life and even showing Andrew around her own old stomping grounds – and now the couple have announced their engagement!

Taking to Instagram in March 2023, Claire shared a post showing off her ring – with the couple’s beloved horses in the background.

“I said YES to the love of my life 💍❤️,” she captioned the post. “So absolutely grateful that I wake up to this life everyday. You are my best friend@farmerandrewauand my safe place, ILYSM Xx”

In June, the bride-to-be shared a small glimpse into her wedding planning, revealing to fans she had travelled back to her hometown in Tasmania to visit family and pick her wedding dress!

Sharing a snap of herself holding a garment bag outside Honey Fawn boutique in Launceston, she added the hashtags ‘#ISaidYesToTheDress and #BridalEra.

Claire and Andrew’s exciting engagement news came just a few months after the pair celebrated their first anniversary together.

“Happy 1st Anniversary Lover ♥️,” Claire wrote on Instagram in December. “The first year of life with you has been my favourite one yet, thanks for showing me what real love is meant to feel like..! ✨ #lotsoflove #lotsofpoddylambs #lotsoflaughs #lotsoffun #fwaw2023.”

The happy couple have kept fans up to date about their relationship, including news on their growing farm family.

In July 2023, Claire took to Instagram to share her adorable surprise gift from beau Andrew.

“Guys meet Mowgli,” she wrote alongside a picture of a pug.

“@farmerandrewau picked him up for me today while I was at work…not sure he will make a good working dog but OMG my heat.”

The pair have been sharing titbits from their travel since finishing the show, and it was Claire’s post about their visit to Badger Island, that revealed what prompted her to apply for the show in the first place.

Claire shared a sweet pic of the couple in which she and Andrew were sporting matching hats.

An eagle-eyed fan commented on the photo, pointing out that the farmer was wearing a new hat – a very different look to the usual well-worn hat he was spotted wearing throughout the season.

“This is so funny,” replied Claire. “His hat is what made me apply for the show, I thought geeez that hat has a few stories to tell and this guy doesn’t care about fancy things.”

“His new hat will have even more stories to tell tho.”

Following the pair’s early exit from the show they spoke with Woman’s Day about what was next. After some pondering the pair have decided to take it “one day at a time” they explained.

“We have a nice positive thing going here and it is good to finally get to show the world our happiness,” Claire, 37, told Woman’s Day, before adding that the pair have already discussed having children.

“It would be nice to have twins first up and then see what would happen after that,” Claire told the publication.

“We’re approaching it with the mindset of, let’s enjoy one another first for a period of time and make memories of our own, and if things keep evolving in a positive manner, then that’ll come,” explained Andrew.

Claire and Andrew were just one of the many successful couples in this year’s season of Farmer Wants a Wife. For the first time ever, all five farmers found love.
